As much as I want to like it (I’m a huge SRPG lover), I can’t rationalize the $50 price tag. It’s a lot of money for a narrow category and a game that doesn’t seem to have much replayability or a strong story hook. I simply cannot suggest it, which is a shame given that it was published following some very powerful titles in the same genre.
At the time, wait for improved reviews when people complete the game to see if you’d like it or if it goes on sale (which seems probable given the game’s poor sales so far.) Players can improve their weaponry and devices to make them more successful in battle. The game is visually amazing.
Cutscenes are beautiful, combat movements are varied and aesthetically appealing, and the murky color palette used in most of the game’s art and locations sets the tone for a game attempting to present a darker story. Concerning the figures, I simply do not like any of their forms. Soulless and bland are the best words to describe them, and while I commended the gloomy color scheme, it’s more of a hindrance than a benefit here, as it makes everyone appear the same.
