Each of your characters in Octopath Traveler 2 Best Job Combinations have fixed primary occupations that they can’t change. They can, however, add a supplementary profession, which will enhance their stats and provide them with a new arsenal of skills to choose from. You must contact work guilds to obtain licenses to establish secondary tasks.Â
You can alter your character’s secondary profession at any moment, so there’s no need to be concerned about choosing one and making it permanent. Some supplementary occupations are better suited to a character’s stats and latent skills than others. Octopath Traveler 2 Best Job Combinations
When he’s just a cleric, his latent ability, which enables every strike on that turn to shatter shields, isn’t especially remarkable. When the scholar’s “Elemental Barrage” ability is added to the equation, Temenos can instantly pop monster shields like they’re nothing. Elemental Barrage hits between three and five times at its basic level, but that amount increases when you boost it. In addition, Temenos is an excellent priest in his own right. Not to note that his holy harm already does a lot.
Octopath Traveler 2 Throne (Thief)
Throné became an expert at busting shields because her side employment provided her with a diverse arsenal of weaponry to employ (dagger, sword, axe, and bow all together). Furthermore, using hunter’s “Precise Shot” and her own “HP Steal” allowed her to multi-hit effectively and frequently.
Throné also becomes the mistress of debuffing (which she was already as a thief), with hunter adding “Leghold Snare” to her arsenal. Leghold Trap makes the adversary go last in the turn sequence, which is useful if you’re having trouble breaking a boss. When you combine all of her debuffing and breaking abilities with her latent power, which enables her to strike twice, you can inflict damage while also keeping the opponent down and out.
Octopath Traveler 2 Hikari (Warrior)Â
This takes it a step further by providing him access to the entire armory of weaponry as well as increased attack power. This comes with a catch: you must explicitly activate armsmaster by delivering an ancient firearm to a man in Gravell. This position won’t be available until you’re in your mid-40s, but once you have it, it will transform Hikari into a beast.
Octopath Traveler 2 Agnea (Dancer)Â
This isn’t especially unique in terms of combat, but it’s excellent for earning money. Agnea’s dormant ability enables her to transform single-target abilities into multi-target abilities. Combine this with the merchant’s “Gather” ability, and you can now steal money from numerous enemies in a single turn. You can also use traders’ “Boost-Start” support ability to give Agnea more BP at the start of each battle, which you can use to risk with “Bewildering Grace,” but there’s a superior plan for that.
Octopath Traveler 2 Partitio (Merchant)Â
This is a cheesy option, but if you enjoy gambling, this is the employment combination for you. Partitio’s latent power enables him to fill his BP gauge to the brim, and one of his merchant support skills allows him to begin combat with a full latent power gauge.
When you combine this with the random effects of dancer’s Bewildering Grace, you have a very entertaining method to play. Bewildering Grace has a “strange impact,” and if you increase it, more things will happen. The impacts are totally random and can either assist you a lot or kill your entire squad.
